Surrounded by an artistic family, Shannie's passion for art studies took her to Ryerson University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Design. By gaining a strong background in studio art, design theory, art history and illustration; these attained skills are all synergistically used towards her designs.

Her design influences have also come from the joy to make children laugh. Surrounded by young children, Shannie found herself work that she can also call a hobby.
